Jim Keough is in his first season as the General Manager of the inaugural Great Falls Electric professional basketball team.

Keough is a local businessman who served 13 years as the General Manager of two Great Falls minor league baseball teams, the Great Falls Dodgers and Great Falls White Sox, which competed in the Pioneer League with other Montana cities such as Billings, Missoula, Helena, and Butte.

Keough left the baseball business and bought an American West Hockey League (AWHL) team called the Great Falls Americans Junior A hockey team in 2011. The team played at the Great Falls Ice Plex when it opened in November 2008. He sold the team in 2022.

He bought the Great Falls Electric, a new member of The Basketball League (TBL) in June 2023 that started play in March 2024.

“I think people want family entertainment and basketball is very popular with a lot of kids playing it,” said Keough. So, we’re bringing that atmosphere to Great Falls, and I just think as how Great Falls is growing, it’s just going to be a good fit. We’re going to keep it affordable for families. We want a lot of kids there because that is the future of any sport.”
